Product Care - fibre clay

Caring for Your Fibre Clay Ornament or Planter

Fibre clay is a durable and environmentally friendly composite made from clay, fibreglass, and magnesia. The clay provides a natural finish, the fibreglass adds strength to reduce the risk of cracks or breaks, and the magnesia keeps it lightweight while improving weather resistance. Fibre clay is also a more sustainable choice than poly resin or full fibreglass ornaments, as it requires less energy to produce.

Over time, your fibre clay ornament or planter will develop an aged, weathered look. If you prefer to maintain a fresher appearance, it can easily be repainted. To keep it in the best condition, try to protect it from frost, as extreme cold may cause damage. Avoid placing it in standing water or directly on waterlogged ground, as prolonged exposure to moisture can weaken the material.

When moving your fibre clay ornament or planter, always lift from the base rather than the top. This ensures better support and helps prevent accidental damage. By following these simple care tips, your fibre clay ornament or planter will remain a beautiful and lasting feature in your outdoor space.
